Marni graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Pastry Arts from Johnson & Wales University, specializing in plated desserts.  

Beginning in 1995, her work has taken her overseas to St. Anne's Manor Hotel in Wokingham, England, and across the country, including such properties as The Athenaeum Hotel in Chautauqua, New York, three Ritz-Carlton Hotels, The Four Seasons Aviara in Carlsbad, California, and Roy's Kahana Bar & Grill in Maui, Hawaii.  After returning to Southern California, she opened Posh Pastries, in Santa Clarita, in 2008.  

Posh Baking Company was formed after relocating to the Sacramento area in 2010. Since that time, Marni and Posh have become recognized as a local pie favorite, placing as one of the top three bakeries in Roseville in Style Magazine's Readers' Choice Awards for 2024 and 2025. Marni, as Posh Baking Company, enjoyed many years as the baker-in-residence at The Fig Tree Coffee, Art & Music Lounge prior to launching The Boutique in early 2026. Marni continues to teach classes at The Studio at Westpark and enters her second year as Activity Instructor teaching youth baking classes for the City of Roseville.
